Job summary

Freedom is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Developer to join the CMS program, modernizing and sustaining enterprise applications. You will lead a development team, translate customer needs into technical solutions, and deliver MEAN stack capabilities across secure environments.

You will collaborate with experts in software engineering, cloud, and DevSecOps to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance user experience while contributing to CI/CD pipelines and agile processes.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 12 years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Angular 2+ and Angular 12
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience with MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js)
• Unit testing experience
• Git/GitLab with CI/CD
• Docker
• Linux
• Experience with Agile development
• Must be able to work during core hours Mon-Fri 10am-2pm

Responsibilities

• Lead a small development team to sustain and enhance a mission-critical Enterprise Support Services application.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to align on initiatives.
• Build responsive web interfaces with robust data handling.
• Develop front-end features using JavaScript, Angular 2+, and Angular 12.
• Integrate backend services via REST APIs for data flow.
• Leverage MEAN stack to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Support upgrades and implement performance improvements.
• Design data retrieval for dynamic views.
• Diagnose defects and perform unit testing.
• Contribute to Git/GitLab workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership and learn new technologies.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Design, build, and deploy Dockerized apps to Linux servers.
