Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to drive the engineering behind mission-critical intelligence software. You’ll set the technical direction for a team building cloud-based SIGINT microservices, owning architecture, mentoring engineers, and delivering high-availability software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; 3 years with a PhD; alternative: 12 years of relevant experience
• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph (U.S. citizenship required)
• Security+ certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Experience defining technical roadmaps and aligning tasks to customer goals
• Back-end development with Java and Spring/Spring Boot
• Front-end proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and a modern framework (Angular, React, or Vue.js)
• Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD (Pipelines, SonarQube, SAST, NexusIQ, dependency scanning)
• Experience with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerized systems
• Experience provisioning environments and building, deploying, updating, and rolling back applications

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical vision: architect solutions and roadmaps aligned with customer goals
• Guide the team: mentor engineers, set standards for code quality, testing and security
• Build and deploy high-availability cloud-based software and ensure resilience
• Own the pipeline: manage development, test, staging, and production environments with GitLab CI/CD
• Partner with analysts, systems engineers and developers in an agile environment
• Be the customer’s technical voice: brief project managers and customers at PMRs
• Travel up to 10% for quarterly PMRs
• Advise on security and compliance across the stack
