Peraton is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to drive the engineering behind mission-critical intelligence software in an onsite role. You’ll own architecture and technical roadmap for cloud-based SIGINT microservices, mentor engineers, and stay hands-on with Java/Spring Boot, Angular, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.

You will lead a high-performing team, collaborate with analysts and systems engineers, and present technical updates in PMRs.

Competenze

• 8+ years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; 3 years with a PhD. Without a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph (U.S. citizenship required)
• Security+ certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Experience defining technical roadmaps, planning resources, and aligning engineering tasks with customer goals
• Back-end development with Java and Spring/Spring Boot
• Front-end proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern framework (Angular, React, or Vue.js)
• Hands-on experience with databases such as, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD (Pipelines, SonarQube, SAST, NexusIQ, dependency scanning)
• Experience with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerized systems
• Experience provisioning environments and building, deploying, updating, and rolling back applications within them

• Java 17, JUnit 5, and Mockito
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB
• Kubernetes (RKE/RKE2), Docker, and Helm
• Messaging platforms (RabbitMQ or similar)
• PKI authentication/certificates, Keycloak, and OIDC
• Observability tools (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Alertmanager)
• Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and test automation (Cucumber, Selenium)
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and documentation

Travel:

• Up to 10% travel to attend customer-hosted quarterly PMRs.

You’ll own the architecture and technical roadmap, mentor talented engineers, and stay hands-on with a modern stack: Java/Spring Boot, Angular, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.

This is an onsite role - local candidates only. Aurora, CO or Melbourne, FL
