Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Engineer 5 to lead a portfolio of AI Platform & Knowledge Library projects within Enterprise Platforms Technology. You will guide a team of developers with expertise in distributed microservices and full stack systems, delivering robust cloud-based solutions across AWS and open source stacks.

The role requires strong coding skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes, RDBMS and NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 6 years of software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).
At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
Share passion for tech trends, experiment with new technologies, mentor engineers and participate in tech communities.
Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower users at scale.
Utilize languages like Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript; work with AWS tools and services.
Provide technical leadership across multiple teams, shaping architecture and long-term direction.
Drive end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale distributed or cloud-native systems.
