Job summary

Ajackus Consulting seeks a Lead Full Stack Engineer in a remote US role to guide architecture, development, and delivery of scalable web applications spanning frontend and backend. You will own technical decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure production-grade quality with strong AI/ML integrations.

You will collaborate with AI/ML teams, define robust service contracts, and drive multi-tenant, secure, and scalable systems using TypeScript, React, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Deep hands-on experience with NestJS or similar backend frameworks.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and ability to deliver frontend features end to end.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Mandatory experience building, integrating, or maintaining AI/LLM-powered features in production.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and AI platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, LangGraph.
• Experience integrating AI/ML services with backend applications and designing reliable service-to-service contracts.

Role:

As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable, production-ready web applications across the frontend and backend. You will take ownership of technical decisions, system design, code quality, production readiness, and turning product requirements into clear and actionable engineering plans.

You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and AI/ML engineers to build and integrate AI-powered products. Strong hands-on experience working with LLMs, AI-powered applications, or AI/ML services in production environments is required. You will also be responsible for defining and maintaining reliable contracts between core application services and AI services.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can move quickly, make strong architectural decisions, mentor and review engineers' work, and deliver high-quality features without compromising long-term scalability and maintainability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable end-to-end web applications using TypeScript, React, NestJS, and PostgreSQL
• Design and implement robust multi-tenant architecture, authorization, permissions, and data isolation

• Work with PostgreSQL, TypeORM, migrations, pgvector, and database performance optimization
• Build repeatable and scalable onboarding, configuration, and integration workflows
• Integrate applications with third-party systems such as CRM, booking, payment, or other external platforms
• Participate actively in system design, technical planning, estimation, and architecture decisions
• Translate product requirements and roadmaps into well-defined engineering plans, priorities, milestones, and deliverables
• Establish and maintain strong engineering standards around code reviews, testing, release discipline, documentation, and production reliability
• Review code and provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across frontend, backend, database, AI integrations, and production environments
• Work with cloud infrastructure and deployment environments, including AWS, ECS, Fargate, and Terraform
• Ensure best practices in security, scalability, version control, CI/CD, testing, and deployment
