Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing Services seeks a Development Lead to guide a capable Development & Engineering team focused on modern, scalable internal tech solutions. You will balance hands-on coding with leadership, mentoring, and delivery ownership.

You will drive front-end and back-end initiatives, champion engineering excellence, and participate in designing production-grade applications within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Prior experience in a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or Development Lead capacity.
• Strong full-stack development experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Flask, REST APIs, SQL, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Lead sprint-level technical delivery and coordinate work across engineering teams.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Support Agile ceremonies including planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Partner with architects, engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Help resolve technical challenges, remove development blockers, and evaluate implementation approaches.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
• Support CI/CD processes, testing, deployment activities, and release readiness.
• Contribute to documentation, coding standards, and operational processes.
• Participate in technical interviews and candidate evaluations.
