Job summary

Zocdoc is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Frontend Platform & Mobile team to shape the shared frontend infrastructure used across all products. You will lead design system initiatives, accessible component libraries, and frontend tooling, collaborating with UX, Product, and Engineering to accelerate development.

You’ll champion accessibility, guide platform migrations, and mentor engineers while leveraging GenAI to boost velocity and quality across web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping software with frontend tech (React/TypeScript/JavaScript) and mobile exposure.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow a frontend engineers team focused on design systems, accessible components, and platform tooling.
• Own the strategy and roadmap for the design system and accessible React component library across product teams.
• Drive accessibility across web and mobile surfaces with measurable standards.
• Partner with UX, Product, and Engineering to build a scalable, accessible component library for web and native mobile.
• Identify and deliver platform improvements to speed frontend and mobile development.
• Mentor engineers and promote high-quality, well-tested frontend code.
• Incorporate GenAI tools to accelerate development and workflows.
• Set technical strategy emphasizing scalability, DX, and cross-team contribution.
