Job summary

Vaimo, a leading digital experience agency, seeks a Lead Frontend Engineer to steward a Next.js 16 and React 19 web application built on Azure Kubernetes Service. You will guide architecture, mentor the team, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver production-ready frontend solutions.

You will drive design decisions, establish frontend standards, and participate in pre-sales activities, ensuring scalable, accessible, and high-performance experiences for global brands.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with React and Next.js (App Router).
• Strong understanding of SSR, SSG, ISR, and hybrid rendering strategies.
• Strong command of TypeScript and frontend architecture.
• Experience integrating frontend apps within distributed microservices and API contracts.
• Adept at frontend testing frameworks (Playwright, Jest) to ensure health.
• Ability to nurture and maintain architectural standards across the team.
• Experience supporting technical decisions and empowering engineers.
• Familiarity with REST or GraphQL APIs in distributed systems.
• CI/CD and containerized cloud environments (Docker, AKS).
• Performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
• Openness to AI-assisted development tools to enhance workflow.

Responsibilities

• Guide design and delivery of resilient frontend solutions for medium to large projects.
• Oversee planning, estimation, and technical design with a strong QA standard.
• Define and maintain frontend architecture standards and best practices.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and code review feedback to grow team members.
• Collaborate with backend, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, and Product teams for cohesive outcomes.
• Share knowledge and foster continuous learning within the team.
• Act as technical ambassador in client discussions, workshops, and dialogues.
• Assist with solution scoping, estimations, and pre-sales engagements.
