Cardless in San Francisco is seeking an experienced full‑stack frontend engineer to own and evolve the component library and design system that power our co‑branded credit card platform. You’ll help shape the consumer app from onboarding to account management and rewards, while building internal tools for risk and operations.

You’ll partner closely with product, design, backend, risk and compliance to drive architecture decisions, ensure accessibility and performance, and deliver end‑to‑end

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience building production systems at scale.
• 3+ years with React across consumer products and data-heavy internal tools.
• Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems used across multiple products.
• Ability to move across consumer, partner, and internal surfaces without compromising on craft or user experience.
• Strong fundamentals in state management, component architecture, accessibility, testing, and UI quality.
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures or component library development.
• Experience in fintech, payments, fraud, or financial services.
• Familiarity with Next.js, TailwindCSS, React Native, Yarn monorepos, REST/GraphQL

Responsabilités

• Own and evolve the component library and design system across consumer apps and internal tools.
• Build and ship features in the consumer app from onboarding through account management and rewards.
• Design and build internal tools for operations and risk teams.
• Take projects from concept to production: requirements, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Partner with product, design, backend engineering, risk and compliance to deliver quickly and reliably.
• Improve performance, accessibility, observability, and developer experience across the stack.
• Contribute to architectural decisions shaping the frontend platform and provide technical guidance to peers.
