Job summary

Nightwing CODEX seeks a Senior Software Engineer (SWE3) to lead UI/front-end development in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. You will mentor developers, define scalable front-end architectures, and work closely with backend teams to deliver robust interfaces.

Ideal candidates bring extensive Java, cloud and big-data experience, and a passion for accessible, high-performance software. A current TS/SCI clearance with poly is required, with a signing bonus associated with the role.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; cloud/big-data experience preferred.
• Cloud and distributed computing experience including IR, MapReduce, HDFS, and related tools.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, CentOS, and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of UI/front-end developers.
• Architect scalable front-end solutions using modern frameworks.
• Translate designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design APIs and data flow.
• Contribute to full-stack development and deployment pipelines.
• Enforce coding standards and promote component reuse.
• Ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508, WCAG).
• Participate in sprint planning and architectural decisions.
