Job summary

Intuit is seeking an accomplished front-end engineer to build exceptional customer experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will translate user insights into mockups and code, lead a small team, and shape project design while integrating AI features for enhanced performance.

You will guide architecture decisions, work with data scientists and product managers, and push for innovative, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS.
• Experience in the Software design/architecture process and SDLC.
• Experience with web services (REST or SOAP).
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Expertise with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Familiar with the development challenges of highly scalable web apps.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large-scale consumer web/mobile apps.
• Experience with open source technologies, prototyping emerging tech when needed.
• Proficient in building functional AI models using prompting and AutoML.
• Skilled in monitoring model performance in production and adjustments.
• Deep understanding of AI integration and leading integration efforts.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Create Front End solutions to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Translate customer insights into mockups, wireframes, and proof-of-concept code.
• Lead a small team to solve complex programming and design issues.
• Contribute to project design and architecture and execute on web, mobile, and front end software development.
• Provide technical direction and prioritize issues/features to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance software applications with AI technology.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers on best practices and AI-enhanced development.
• Launch AI integrations in production and evaluate their impact on performance and user satisfaction.
