Job summary

Stellantisfinancialservices seeks a Body Closures Development Lead to steer front‑end closure systems (hoods, fenders, hinges) from concept to production. You will coordinate across design, CAE, manufacturing, and suppliers to meet performance goals and program milestones.

The role demands 8+ years in automotive body structures/closures, strong CAD skills (CATIA/NX) and proven leadership in cross‑functional teams, with emphasis on safety, durability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of automotive engineering experience focusing on body structures or closures.
• Experience with door systems, hoods, hinges, latches, and closure components.
• Familiarity with APQP, DFMEA, DV/PV testing and vehicle product development processes.
• Strong CAD proficiency (CATIA, NX) and experience with tier‑1 suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of body closure systems from concept through production launch.
• Own performance targets for fit & finish, sealing, stiffness, NVH, durability, ergonomics and safety.
• Coordinate cross‑functional reviews, conformance, and engineering sign‑offs.
• Guide design for manufacturing/assembly and supplier collaboration.
• Define validation plans and oversee durability and environmental testing; support vehicle launch.
