Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead FRACAS Systems Engineer in Salt Lake City to improve the reliability of DoD communications systems. You will lead FRACAS investigations, analyze failures, and drive corrective actions across design, production, and field issues.

The role requires strong root cause analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to present findings to management. Security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering is strongly preferred with 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate degree plus 7+ years of related experience; or 13+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Familiarity with FRACAS software or databases preferred; reliability analysis knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System) activities, root cause analysis, and recommendations for design improvements.
  • Direct investigations and determine root cause of failures in design, production, and field defects of communications systems.
  • Coordinate with FRB and other departments to determine resolutions and corrective actions.
  • Maintain FRACAS database, monitor status, and generate management reports.
