Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a FRACAS Specialist Systems Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT. The role focuses on evaluating and improving the reliability of DoD communications systems through FRACAS processes and root cause analysis.

The engineer will manage investigations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and generate detailed repair and management reports to support product improvements and customer reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 4+ years of related experience or graduate degree with 2+ years.
• Experience with FRACAS program and data reporting preferred.
• Familiarity with reliability analysis and failure modes advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform FRACAS analysis and recommend design improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations for failures in DoD comms systems.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Programs and Quality teams.
• Manage FRACAS data, track investigations, and generate management reports.
• Prepare repair reports for MRO and warranty units with findings.
