Job summary

L3Harris is seeking an experienced FPGA EW Design Engineer to develop advanced electronic warfare and wireless DSP systems in Salt Lake City, UT. You will contribute across the full design lifecycle from RTL development to field support, with emphasis on EW, DSP, and FPGA implementations.

The role requires 9+ years of relevant experience, DoD clearance or ability to obtain one, and strong teamwork. Salt Lake City location offers outdoor and cultural opportunities as part of a balanced life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree with at least 7 years; or 13 years in lieu of a degree
• Current DoD clearance or ability to acquire one
• Master’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field preferred
• Experience leading small engineering teams or technical contributors
• Experience with FPGA signal-processing and modem/DSP algorithms

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the full design lifecycle: proposals, requirements, RTL development, simulation, synthesis, place‑and‑route, verification and test, system integration, and field support
• Implement and optimize EW and wireless DSP algorithms on FPGA platforms
• Collaborate within a team and lead small groups of engineers on projects
