Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a Lead FPGA Design Engineer to own the full development lifecycle for advanced wireless digital systems. You will design, simulate, synthesize, place-and-route, and verify FPGA-based modem and DSP architectures as part of a collaborative team.

Applicants should have a strong background in VHDL/Verilog, high-speed interfaces, and testbench architectures, with a US security clearance being highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years related experience, or Graduate Degree with 7+ years, or 13+ years without degree.
• Active U.S. security clearance.
• Experience in VHDL or Verilog development languages.
• Experience implementing modem/DSP circuits in FPGA/ASIC.
• Knowledge of high-speed DSP data paths and error-correction codes.
• Familiarity with simulation, synthesis, and placement tools.

Responsibilities

• Own full FPGA design lifecycle from proposal to verification testing.
• Work on wireless digital communications, modems and DSP.
• Collaborate with hardware/software teams in Carlsbad and San Diego region.
• Support verification using simulation and place-and-route tools.
• Proficient with lab debugging and measurement equipment.
