Job summary

Draper is looking for a skilled FPGA Engineer to join our digital design team in Boston, MA. In this role, you will contribute to FPGA development focusing on architecture, design, simulation, and test/support.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, and experience in hardware design and security. The position also offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $156,000.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with design closure, including timing and power for SWaP-constrained designs.
• Experience in hardware design and hands-on lab debugging.

Responsibilities

• Translate project and system requirements into hardware architectures.
• Design and/or complete instruments, including microprocessors, power, and analog components.
• Build and test prototypes, debug, and prepare documentation.

Skills

FPGA design/development

Verilog/VHDL

Digital simulation using Modelsim/Questa

High-speed interfaces such as SERDES

Embedded software development for FPGA SoCs

Strong analysis and problem-solving skills

Education
