Job summary

Draper is currently seeking an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer to join their Embedded Electronics group in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This critical position supports the development of advanced hardware solutions for various national security missions and innovative technology projects.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in electronic design, a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, and 3-5 years of relevant experience. The role requires onsite work and offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $156,000 with various employee benefits aimed at promoting work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Experience crafting sophisticated electronic systems using commercial off-the-shelf FPGAs, processors, or systems on chip (SOCs).
• Ability to program FPGAs and microcontrollers at a necessary understanding level.

Responsibilities

• Translate project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures.
• Design and/or complete instruments including microprocessors, power, and analog components.
• Build and test prototypes, debug, and prepare documentation for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with management and development partners regarding design status.

Skills

Proficiency in electronic design

Understanding of design and general computer architecture

Computer programming and coding abilities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related field
