Leidos Defense Systems is seeking an Embedded Firmware Developer in Huntsville to design, implement, and test firmware for diverse aerospace and military platforms. You will lead architecture decisions and work across FPGAs, microcontrollers, and mixed-signal designs.

The role requires strong collaboration with hardware teams, systems engineering, and customers, guiding projects through concept, design, and qualification testing. A passion for leadership and technical growth is essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 4+ years of embedded system design and test experience (2+ years with MS).
• Understand trade-offs of embedded targets (FPGA/SoC/microcontroller/RTOS).
• Experience with FPGA design and HDLs (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog).
• Experience with UART, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN bus, etc.

Mansioni

• Lead architecture and design of embedded firmware across platforms including FPGAs, MCUs, and microprocessors.
• Oversee product life cycle from concept to manufacturing and post-delivery support.
• Develop and test embedded firmware/software; evaluate technology improvements.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and project teams; resolve technical issues during manufacture and test.
• Troubleshoot board-level issues and determine root causes and corrective actions.
