Job summary

Lead Finance Analyst, Financial Planning at LCS in Des Moines, IA, is responsible for end-to-end budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. You will partner with business leaders, build complex models, analyze variances, and develop KPIs for executive reporting.

You will mentor analysts, drive improvements in planning processes, and support system enhancements while delivering actionable insights to optimize financial performance for seniors housing communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics or economics.
• 4–6 years FP&A or business finance experience.
• Strong modeling, analytics, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate with leadership.
• Experience with planning systems, BI tools, and data environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning activities (budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning).
• Lead variance analysis with insights into drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Design, build, and maintain complex financial models and forecasting tools.
• Develop scenario analyses to support decisions.
• Partner with business leaders to align financial plans with operations.
• Drive KPIs, benchmarks, and dashboards; prepare executive reporting.
• Mentor analysts and support system/data integrity improvements.
• Identify and implement planning process improvements.
