Job summary

Life Care Services in Des Moines, IA, seeks a Lead Finance Analyst, Financial Planning to own end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, delivering actionable insights to business leaders.

You will design and maintain complex financial models, develop scenario analyses, and partner with executives to align plans with operations, while mentoring junior staff and driving KPI dashboards across planning cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of FP&A or business finance experience.
• Advanced modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of business drivers and financial performance management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning activities (budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning).
• Lead variance analysis with insights into drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Design, build, and maintain complex financial models and forecasting tools.

Job Description

The Lead Finance Analyst, Financial Planning leads key components of the financial planning process, including ownership of models, forecasts, and analytical outputs. This role serves as a primary partner to business leaders, delivering actionable insights, driving planning processes, and mentoring junior team members.

This role performs work under minimal supervision and handles complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

What You’ll Do:

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, or related field; or equivalent years of experience
• 4–6 years of relevant FP&A or business finance experience
• Advanced modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of business drivers and financial performance management
• Experience working with planning systems, BI tools, and data environments
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate with leadership
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
