Job summary

Americold in Baytown, TX is seeking a Warehouse Worker responsible for safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using forklifts and RF equipment. The role includes leading a portion of the shift, training associates, and ensuring on-time completion of tasks.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, moving inventory, order picking, inventory counts, and maintaining a clean, secure warehouse environment while following OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related warehouse experience preferred.
• Certifications related to forklift operation or safety are a plus.
• Some computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of others up to 25% of the shift, review daily plan with supervisor, train associates, and report issues.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts and related equipment.
• Move products to storage areas with appropriate equipment.
• Efficiently stack and store merchandise in designated areas.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble merchandise for shipping.
• Check freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation; participate in physical inventories.
• Ensure warehouse security and promote safety in all operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
