Job summary

PrimeCrew Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Forklift Operator to oversee daily forklift operations, including unloading and moving medical waste and related materials. This is a working lead role requiring forklift operation and the ability to direct and support a small team.

The ideal candidate has prior forklift experience, experience leading or supervising others, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience.
• Experience leading, supervising, or directing a team.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide daily direction to a team of forklift operators and/or laborers.
• Safely operate a forklift to unload trucks containing medical waste and other materials.
• Coordinate unloading activities to maintain a safe and efficient workflow.
• Ensure materials are moved, staged, and placed in designated areas.
• Monitor team members to ensure proper safety procedures and work practices are followed.
• Conduct basic pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any equipment issues or safety concerns.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding daily operations, staffing needs, delays, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and site-specific procedures.
• Assist with other operational duties as needed.
