Job summary

The City and County of Denver is seeking a Forensic Pathologist to perform postmortem examinations and medicolegal autopsies to determine cause and manner of death. You will assist the Chief Medical Examiner, ensure policy compliance, and provide expert testimony as needed.

Located on-site at the Office of the Medical Examiner in Denver, CO, this role participates in a 24/7/365 operation with on-call duties and collaboration with law enforcement and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed forensic pathologist
• Experience in medicolegal autopsies preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform postmortem examinations and medicolegal autopsies to determine cause and manner of death
• Assist Chief Medical Examiner in evaluating quality of services and ensure adherence to policies
• Provide testimony in criminal and civil cases and interact with families and legal authorities
