Job summary

Kinkaid Civil Construction is seeking an experienced Foreman – Grading & Earthwork to lead field crews on heavy civil projects in Mesa, AZ. You will plan daily operations, coordinate equipment and materials, and ensure work is completed safely and to quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of grading/earthwork and 2+ years of supervisory leadership, with strong reading of plans and OSHA knowledge. We offer ESOP, comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

5+ years of grading and earthwork in heavy civil construction.
2+ years in a Foreman/lead role or equivalent supervisory position.
Ability to read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, specs, and stakes.
Experience coordinating crews, equipment, subcontractors, and daily production.
Strong OSHA safety knowledge and safe excavation practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise grading and earthwork crews on heavy civil projects.
Plan daily work activities to meet production goals and schedules.
Read plans, grade stakes, specs, and project layouts to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, engineers, surveyors, subcontractors, and inspectors.
Monitor progress and adjust crew assignments and equipment use for productivity.
Ensure operations meet plans, specs, and safety standards; conduct daily safety meetings.
