Job summary

Fortis Fire & Safety in Fort Myers, FL, is seeking a Fire Alarm and Security Installation Foreman to lead onsite installation activities for low‑voltage systems with emphasis on fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance. You will coordinate field efforts, mentor technicians, and maintain high quality standards on site.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands‑on experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of demonstrated work experience in fire alarm, access control, CCTV, or low‑voltage system installation with hands‑on field work and lead‑level responsibilities.
• Experience overseeing onsite tasks, coordinating daily work activities, and directing field teams.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA requirements applicable to installation work.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and construction documents to ensure correct installation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to train, mentor, and develop field personnel to meet IFSS standards.
• NICET or other relevant technical certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit, wiring, and devices for low‑voltage systems including fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance.
• Coordinate field activities across multiple trades and maintain accurate as‑built documentation.
• Interpret blueprints to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Lead field crews, schedule onsite resources, and ensure materials and equipment are available.
• Mentor Technicians and Helpers to meet IFSS standards for performance and quality.
