Job summary

Texas Health Resources is hiring a Food Service Worker Lead in Rockwall, TX to oversee daily food service operations in the Food and Nutrition Services department. This full-time role requires strong communication, teamwork, and cash handling in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will supervise staff, assist with training, ensure food safety and proper temperatures, and help with events and cost-control initiatives while supporting patient care and service excellence.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
• 2 years relevant experience in food service Required
• FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days Req

Responsibilities

• Leads staff in daily activities and assigns/work checks
• Train staff including coordination of in-services
• Maintain food safety per HACCP and health department standards
• Record refrigerator temperatures and take action if temperatures are inadequate
• Keep a clean and orderly work area complying with health and facility requirements
• Support supervisor/manager with special events planning and setup
