Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced lead foodservice worker for the corrections team in Wilmington, NC. You will lead daily onsite operations, ensure quality food preparation and service, and supervise staff to deliver a smooth meal service.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma, possess strong leadership and communication skills, and have ServSafe certification with at least one year in foodservice. Supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• ServSafe certification.
• At least one year’s experience in a foodservice role.
• Nice-to-have: at least one year’s supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper preparation and storage of food.
• Direct food service staff and operations to ensure a successful meal service.
• Order food and paper products as needed.
• Ensure sanitation and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Train new staff members as needed.
