Job summary

Trinity Services Group is hiring a Lead Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals inside a correctional facility. You report to a Food Service Director and work on-site with weekend and holiday availability, with a 5am–2pm shift.

The role emphasizes passion for food, adherence to handling regulations, teamwork, and willingness to learn. A $1500 signing bonus and DailyPay help with immediate earnings. Training is provided, with career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Prior institutional food service experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team in the preparation of quality foods according to recipes and work instructions promptly.
• Keep a clean, neat, and food safe workstation; pull trash, sweep, mop.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks and stay organized.
• Stand and move as required during the shift.
• Assist with other duties as determined by needs.

About This Position

The Lead Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
