Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a Food Service Supervisor for Loftiss RYDC in Thomasville, GA. The role directs the facility's food service operations, oversees staff, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards. The position is day shift within the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years in food service, one year as lead/supervisor.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to motivate staff to improve quantity and quality of work.
• Knowledge of governing bodies’ rules and regulations including DPH, USDA, DOE, and DJJ.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operation of the food service department and supervise staff.
• Manage ordering, inventory, and entitlement program compliance.
• Prepare for audits and ensure sanitation, safety and program compliance.
• Provide staff training on policies and safety practices.
• Maintain records and assist with monthly reporting and ACA preparation.
