Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Lead Food Services team member to assist in Food and Nutrition (FNS) operations. In the absence of the Manager or Coordinator, you will support scheduling, lead tray assembly, simple food prep, service, sanitation, and cash handling while ensuring compliance with department policies.

You will communicate with peers and management to address hazards, maintain equipment cleanliness, and uphold safety standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years in hospitality or industry operation with two years progressive lead/supervisory experience; cash handling experience preferred.
• Must have one of the following: Food Handler Permit or Certified Food Manager with certification/renewal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and resolves patient and visitor issues with high levels of service and professionalism.
• Assists management in training and overall operations of food service, service standards, menus, cashiers and sanitation.
• Contributes to improvement of department scores for employee engagement and patient satisfaction.
