Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking a Lead Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and oversee preparation and service of meals inside the Carteret County Jail in North Carolina.

You will work on site in a correctional facility, ensuring food safety, sanitation, and efficient production processes while leading a team. A $1,000 bonus and DailyPay access are available as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1 year or more of experience in a food service role.
• Institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor in preparing a variety of food items following standards.
• Handle production and sanitation paperwork as required by facility procedures.
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance of all food service equipment and work areas following safety practices.
• Follow institution requirements in preparation, oversight, and serving of meals.
• Follow housekeeping and safety practices as instructed.
• Store food and supplies per instructions.
• Prepare food for large groups in high-volume facilities.
• Take on other responsibilities as needed.

About This Position

The Lead Food Service Supervisor performs a variety of kitchen responsibilities as assigned and/or instructs inmate labor in preparation and serving of correctional facility meals following departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and work instructions.

The position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Carteret County Jail.

We are offering a BONUS of up to $1,000!!

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities:

• Independently prepare, assists, or instructs inmate labor/team members in the preparation of a variety of food items following departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and Institution work instructions.

• You will handle production paperwork and/or sanitation paperwork essential to comply with facility procedures.

• Ensure you complete the cleaning and maintenance of all food service equipment and work areas; confirm that you follow proper safety and sanitation practices.

• Follow prescribed institution requirements in all preparation, oversight, and serving of correctional facility meals

• Follow assigned institution housekeeping and safety practices as instructed.

• Stores food and supplies following instructions.

• Perform in high-volume food production facilities preparing food for large groups.

• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1 year or more of experience working in a food service role.
• We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
