Job summary

Trinity Services Group, a TKC Holdings Company, is seeking a Lead Food Service Supervisor to oversee meal preparation and inmate labor in a correctional facility.

You will report to a Food Service Director, work onsite inside the jail, and ensure adherence to recipes, safety, and sanitation standards while delivering high-volume meals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 18+ years old.
• 1 year or more of experience in food service.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare, assist, or instruct inmate labor in food prep following recipes and standards.
• Handle production and sanitation paperwork essential to facility procedures.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitation of all food service equipment and areas per safety guidelines.
• Follow institution requirements in preparation, oversight, and serving of meals.
• Adhere to housekeeping and safety practices as instructed by the facility.
• Store food and supplies per written instructions; participate in high-volume meal production.

About This Position

The Lead Food Service Supervisor performs a variety of kitchen responsibilities as assigned and/or instructs inmate labor in preparation and serving of correctional facility meals following departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and work instructions.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities:

• Independently prepare, assists, or instructs inmate labor/team members in the preparation of a variety of food items following departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and Institution work instructions.
• You will handle production paperwork and/or sanitation paperwork essential to comply with facility procedures.
• Ensure you complete the cleaning and maintenance of all food service equipment and work areas; confirm that you follow proper safety and sanitation practices.
• Follow prescribed institution requirements in all preparation, oversight, and serving of correctional facility meals
• Follow assigned institution housekeeping and safety practices as instructed.
• Stores food and supplies following instructions.
• Perform in high-volume food production facilities preparing food for large groups.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1 year or more of experience working in a food service role.
• We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
