Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 2–5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign work, and provide clear direction to production employees; ensure daily goals are met.
• Monitor operations (milk receiving, standardizing, pasteurization, separating, freezing, cooling, filling, packaging) and quality.
• Monitor production equipment; coordinate timely repairs and sanitization.
• Promote safe work behaviors; conduct injury investigations and report to HR as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality policies and programs.
• Supervise production scheduling to meet orders and demand; stage materials for next runs.
• Seek ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs across operations.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain positive relationships; apply work rules and policies; address grievances with HR.
• Communicate with employees via shift meetings and informal methods.
• Complete supervisory activities: promotions, transfers, timekeeping, evaluations, coaching.
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with regulations on health and safety.
• Follow GMPs and all company food safety, quality, sanitation requirements; perform other duties as assigned.
