Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced Food Production Development Manager to lead customer-focused product development within the food ingredients and natural color space. You will guide a team of food science professionals and collaborate with sales to deliver innovative formulations and testing initiatives.

Role requires strong leadership, 7+ years in the food industry, and travel as needed to support customers.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in the food industry.
Strong leadership and project management experience.
Expertise in food product development and ingredient functionality.
Proficiency with analytical methods and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of food science and applications professionals.
Partner with Sales to support customer projects, including color matching, formulation optimization, stability testing, and product trials.
Provide technical support through onsite and virtual customer meetings, demonstrations, and training sessions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical presentations, product documentation, and training materials.
Research new formulations, ingredients, manufacturing processes, and application opportunities.
Manage project timelines, technical documentation, and project-tracking systems.
Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, SQF, PPE, and quality standards.
