Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Hydraulics, or related.
• Strong understanding of surface water processes including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or SQL.
• Solid knowledge of probability and statistics.
• Advanced GIS skills (QGIS, ArcGIS, or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to flood risk modeling and analytics.
• Perform flood risk evaluations using vendor models and internal tools.
• Communicate flood risk modeling concepts to underwriters.
• Collaborate to integrate BHSI’s risk view into modeling tools.
• Support all aspects of natural catastrophe analytics.
