Qualifications
Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Hydraulics, or related.
Strong understanding of surface water processes including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or SQL.
Solid knowledge of probability and statistics.
Advanced GIS skills (QGIS, ArcGIS, or equivalent).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
Contribute to flood risk modeling and analytics.
Perform flood risk evaluations using vendor models and internal tools.
Communicate flood risk modeling concepts to underwriters.
Collaborate to integrate BHSI’s risk view into modeling tools.
Support all aspects of natural catastrophe analytics.
