City of Wichita seeks a General Maintenance Supervisor 2 – Flood Control/Stormwater to lead field operations, manage capital projects, and supervise technical and non-technical staff.

You will collaborate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to maintain levees, stormwater pumps, and drainage systems, ensuring public safety and service reliability. Strong engineering knowledge and leadership are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from a four-year college with a degree in engineering, science, construction management or public administration.
• Three years of progressively responsible engineering/science experience.
• One year of experience supervising staff.
• Must have a valid Kansas driver’s license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Aufgaben

• Plan and supervise the work of technical and non-technical employees.
• Assist with capital project planning, renewal and replacement.
• Develop cost estimates for public improvement projects and for work programs.
• Confer with consultants, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure conformity with plans, specifications, standards, and policies.
