Overview
This position is for a Lead Test Manager for an aerospace client in the Palmdale, CA area. This onsite contract role has a pay range of $50.00/hr - $75.00/hr, based on experience, education, and location. USC only; active DoD clearance required. Responsible for the readiness, setup, and execution of military F-110 Development Engine Tests.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering requirements; partner with Evaluation and Systems engineering; contribute to the design and implementation of new test systems; upgrade existing ones; lead the test operations team to execute test campaigns.
- Utilize experience to solve problems, develop objectives, and impact short-term and some long-term business goals.
- Improve existing products and components; plan and execute within standard functional practices and procedures; operate with some autonomy while receiving limited guidance from senior-level personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college.
- 4+ years direct hands-on experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Knowledge of fulfillment, assembly, instrumentation, and test disciplines.
- Familiarity with the TSE Department Sections and Sub-Sections.
- Engine and Rig test experience.
- Experience with finance and scheduling tools, Open Plan, Clarity, Spotfire.
- Established project management skills and ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with DoD customers and processes.
