Job summary

Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky Development Flight Center is seeking a Lead Technician in flight-test instrumentation. You will lead preparation, installation, check-out and operation of complex instrument systems, interpret wiring drawings, and troubleshoot equipment.

The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, and collaboration within a high-velocity test environment. Requires up to 50% travel, strong communication skills, and proven ability to drive instrumentation work instructions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 10+ years in flight test instrumentation and/or instrumentation electronics engineering with knowledge of computer systems.
• Experience leading teams in planning and installing electronic components and sensors.
• Ability to generate and manage instrumentation work instructions, processes and procedures.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and schematics; harness builds and connector pin-outs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, installation, check-out and operation of complex instrumentation systems for flight test programs.
• Produce schedules and estimates for instrumentation statements of work.
• Support status and technical meetings as required.
• Travel up to 50% as needed.
