Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a highly motivated Flight Test Engineer and Test Lead to guide developmental flight testing of a revolutionary Group 5 UAS. You will work with program leadership and cross-department teams to plan, coordinate, execute, and report on the test program, focusing on envelope expansion, autonomy, and operational testing.

The role requires extensive test leadership experience, DoD/ET guidance familiarity, and the ability to drive improvements across test environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as test conductor/director for developmental aircraft, weapons, or missile systems.
• Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Test engineering experience with developmental systems of manned/unmanned aircraft, including requirements development, test planning/execution, and reporting.
• Familiarity with DoD/T&E guidance documents and airspace rules.
• Ability to quickly learn concepts, organize/schedule work, and coordinate across teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead flight test engineering efforts for developmental aircraft/UAS programs and contribute to test event planning, preparation, execution, and reporting.
• Drive envelope expansion, flying qualities, vehicle autonomy, and operational testing.
• Ensure safe, thorough flight test campaigns across multiple test articles and high-risk events.
• Identify process improvements to raise test efficiency across environments.
• Coordinate with DoD/ government test facilities and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and participate in technical reviews and discussions with customers.
