Loft Federal in Golden, CO seeks a Flight Software Engineer to design and implement spacecraft software that links hardware to platform services, enabling successful missions in orbit.

You'll own features end-to-end, review code, build tests, and collaborate across teams using Git/GitLab-CI and modern build systems. Leadership experience and a passion for robust, reliable systems are valued. We offer competitive compensation and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' software engineering experience with C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• CI tools like GitLab-CI or Jenkins.
• Build systems like Make/CMake.
• Knowledge of distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and refine software with ownership across features.
• Review code and enforce standards.
• Design and implement unit/integration tests.
• Use version control to manage branches and releases.
• Contribute to onboard architecture via design proposals.
• Review and improve software development processes.
• Coordinate with downstream teams for releases.
