Job summary

CACI seeks an experienced Instructor / Developmental Test Pilot for Fort Campbell, KY, to develop the MH-47 APAS curriculum and lead operational instruction for the rotorcraft community.

You will conduct developmental test flights, coordinate with engineers, and train officers and aviators in NVG helicopter operations to standard. This role requires security clearance and extensive flight experience.

Qualifications

• Secret Security Clearance.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience with military rotary wing aircraft.
• Qualified in MH-47 model aircraft.
• Graduate of DoD course of instruction for Instructor Pilots.
• Current FAA commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating (Helicopter).
• 2,000-hours minimum pilot/copilot in rotary wing aircraft.
• 1,000 hours as PIC.
• 500 hours flying with NVG.
• 3 years’ experience with current aircraft development and testing.
• Bachelors’ degree in technical or management field.
• Two years as FMQ, Flight Lead, SIP or IP in Army Special Operations rotary wing helicopters.
• Graduate of US Army Instructor Pilot Course or equivalency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and execute test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Collaborate with program office, engineers, and developers to ensure system performance meets specs and user requirements.
• Conduct developmental test flights on SOA helicopters and upgraded systems to evaluate performance, suitability, and safety.
• May perform maintenance test flights on primary model aircraft after maintenance or overhaul.
• Provide flight instruction to students within the flight instruction curriculum.
• Train officers and aviators in NVG night operations to ARSOA standards.
• Qualify officers and aviators as BMQ Pilot, IP, and/or Maintenance Test Pilot in MH-47G ARSOA airframes.
• Perform crew duties during training support flights and as co-pilot for MTFs as approved.
