Job summary

C&K Industrial Services, Inc. in Terre Haute, IN, seeks a hands-on Shop Foreman / Lead Fleet Technician to own the Terre Haute-area fleet maintenance operation.

This hourly, full-time role is not a desk job. You’ll be the primary maintenance technician, ensuring diesel trucks and equipment are safe, reliable, and ready for work.

Expect monthly travel to Ghent, KY, periodic field service, and the independence to run the shop and improve preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on diesel/heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems using electronic and traditional tools.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and documentation.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair diesel-powered trucks and equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electronic diagnostics.
• Repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspensions and pumps.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedule and records.
• Coordinate DOT inspections and ensure safety compliance.
