Job summary

Cogent Analytics is seeking a skilled Lead Fleet Mechanic to maintain our rapid response fleet and support restoration services. You will ensure preventive maintenance, diagnose diesel engines, and uphold safety compliance to keep assets ready for emergencies.

The role requires strong communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. CDL is preferred, and we offer full benefits and incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years proven fleet maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance schedules and diesel/heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fleet maintenance: review preventative maintenance schedules and ensure adherence.
• Diagnoses minor mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Address maintenance needs efficiently while following reporting requirements.
• Oversees emergency response maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Asset availability: maintain asset readiness for projects and outages.
• Analyze asset data to improve utilization and reduce downtime.
• Assist in developing preventive maintenance plans to extend asset life.
• Equipment safety and compliance: enforce safety policies and participate in training.
• Emergency response support: deploy fleet assets quickly during outages.
• Ensure readiness and availability of fleet resources in emergencies.
