Job summary

Cogent Analytics seeks a Lead Fleet Mechanic to maintain our rapid-response fleet and readiness for emergency deployments. You will manage preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, and ensure safety compliance across vehicles and equipment.

You will help optimize asset utilization, oversee emergency repairs, and support fleet readiness for outages and restoration projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven fleet maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules and diesel/heavy vehicle maintenance, diagnosis and repair, safety compliance.
• CDL with emissions license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review preventative maintenance schedules and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose minor mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Address maintenance needs efficiently while meeting reporting requirements.
• Oversee emergency response maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Improve asset utilization and minimize downtime through data analysis.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs to extend fleet life and reduce costs.
• Ensure safety policies and regulatory compliance for fleet vehicles.
