Job summary

Bulk Transport Co East, Inc. is seeking a Lead Technician to oversee day-to-day maintenance and mentor the fleet maintenance team. You will guide shop operations, perform advanced repairs, inspections, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles, and ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.

You will train Technicians, promote safety, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining accurate documentation and high reliability across the fleet.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, air brakes, and emissions control systems.
• Strong proficiency with DOT regulations and compliance standards.
• TIA Certification or other relevant technical certification preferred.
• HS diploma, GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure smooth shop operations.
• Perform all maintenance tasks, complex repairs, and inspections as conducted by Technicians.
• Mentor and train technicians, promoting skill development, safety, and collaboration.
• Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Ensure all fleet maintenance activities comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and inspections accurately and timely.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support overall fleet reliability.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job description

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
