Job summary

Bulk Transport Co East, Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain tractor-trailers and fleet vehicles to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical and hydraulic systems, and maintain accurate records. The role requires a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with commitment to safety and

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain tractor-trailers and fleet vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and ensure safety and reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation of work performed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job description

This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tractor-trailers and other fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and experience working with diesel engines, braking systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.

Major areas of responsibility include:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractor-trailers and fleet vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Execute annual vehicle inspections in accordance with CFR 49, Part 396; ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation of work performed
• Perform related duties as assigned

Skills and Assets

• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, and hydraulic systems

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday
