Hoopaugh Grading Company, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Lead Flatwork Concrete Finisher who takes pride in producing exceptional surfaces on large commercial, residential and industrial projects.

You will read blueprints, spread, level, and finish freshly placed concrete, and operate power trowels, power screeds, and walk-behind machines while mentoring teammates and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and understanding grade elevations.
• 5+ years of experience finishing flatwork with finishing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors and teammates and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Read and decipher blueprints.
• Spread, level, and finish freshly placed concrete.
• Operate straight edges, bull floats, hand floats, power screeds, and power trowels.
• Produce smooth finishes while maintaining elevations and flatness.
• Operate walk-behind trowel machines and assist with laser screed when applicable.
• Read grades, maintain proper alignment, and install expansion joints.
• Mentor labor and less experienced finishers; ensure safety and quality.
