Galvan Industries, Inc. in Harrisburg, NC is seeking a maintenance welder/fabricator to build and modify steel fixtures and jigs used in plant operations. You will weld with arc, MIG and stick processes, using oxy/acetylene torches, and perform related fabrication tasks.

Join our Maintenance Department to support production reliability and safety. The role requires 2+ years in outdoor fabrication/maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and a welding certification.

Competenze

• At least 2 years of outdoor fabrication and maintenance experience or in continuous process production.
• Good time management and proven multi-tasking skills.
• Shows initiative, urgency and self-motivation in tasks.
• Selected candidates will be tested on mechanical, welding, electrical and numerical aptitude; space visualization and speed.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic verbal communication and report-writing skills.
• Must obtain Welding Certification.

Mansioni

• Fabricate steel fixtures for production operations.
• Modify existing jigs as required by production needs.
• Submit drawings or sketches for new fixtures/jigs or repairs.
• Lead or direct others in building new or repairing fixtures.
• Assist Maintenance in repairs and construction as needed.
• Perform general buildings/grounds maintenance as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, orderly work area and follow company safety rules.
• Adhere to quality and environmental standards; support additional tasks as needed.
