Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of welding experience.
• Flux Core welding experience required.
• Certified to perform horizontal and vertical welds.
• Ability to perform multi-pass welds and C welds.
• Maintain 90% pass rate on UT inspection.
• Able to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of welders.
• Repair welds.
• Assist with completion of tasks to meet deadlines.
• Apply welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal according to layouts and blueprints.
• Perform complex repairs.
• Weld clips and hardware.
• Perform full penetration welds to weld ends to poles or channels.
• Operate grinding equipment.
• May train lower levels.
• May lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.
• May position pieces to be welded.
• May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Maintain quality and efficiency.
• Observe all standard safety practices.
• Maintain and complete all required records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
